Leading parts distributor, Imperial Engineering, is delighted to welcome John Simmons to the business, in the role of Sales Manager.
Simmons joins Imperial Engineering from a 22-year career at braking manufacturer, Knorr-Bremse. He held positions in aftermarket sales in support of major UK bus companies, as well as providing technical support and product training.
Starting out as an apprentice vehicle mechanic with Lucas, Simmons then joined Brown Brothers before moving to Edmunds Walker as an area salesman. A 17-year stint in regional sales for Ferodo brake linings followed, which brought him into the bus and coach market.
During his tenure at Knorr-Bremse, Simmons worked closely with Imperial Engineering, which has been a distributor for the braking brand since 1995. Commenting on his appointment, Simmons said:
“I am delighted to join such a well-known and respected business with whom I have built up a great relationship over the years and am looking forward to bringing my industry experience to bear for the benefit of both Imperial and its growing customer base.”
John Dwight, Imperial Engineering’s Sales Director, said: “We have worked closely with John for many years and highly value his knowledge and experience in the bus and coach industry. To be able to continue this relationship in his new role at Imperial Engineering at such a busy and important time for our company is very exciting.”
